AICC Certifies Pathlore’s Phoenix Networks
Pathlore’s PHOENIX NetWorks Passes AICC/CMI Certification
Lausanne, Switzerland; – The this week certified Pathlore Software’s PHOENIX® Networks™ as complying with AGR-006 (The AICC Guideline for file-based Computer-Managed Instruction (CMI) Systems). This certification makes PHOENIX NetWorks the second CMI system to receive AICC/CMI certification so far.
By meeting the AICC CMI specification, PHOENIX NetWorks and other compliant products can communicate performance data between their CMI systems and interactive learning content regardless of vendor. AICC compliance also enables the exchange of entire courses between different instructional management systems.
"The AICC has been a leader in interoperable learning technology for more than a decade and long before the industry came to appreciate the profound value of interoperable courseware and curriculums," said Leonard Greenberg, Pathlore’s chief technology officer. "As a pioneer in computer-managed instruction and ardent proponent of standards-based learning technology, Pathlore is pleased that PHOENIX NetWorks has become the first integrated online learning system to successfully complete the AICC’s testing regimen. We encourage other vendors to try and do the same."
William A. McDonald, Chairman of the AICC Independent Test Lab Committee said, "By adopting AICC/CMI guidelines and being among the first vendors to get their CMI system certified, Pathlore has clearly distinguished itself as a major player in the CMI market."
