AICC Certifies Solstra
Futuremedia's Solstra passes AICC/CMI certification
Sugar City, Idaho USA – - The announced today that Solstra 2000 has been certified as compliant with its Web Based Computer Managed Instruction Systems (CMI) Guideline (AGR 010). The award of AICC certification makes Futuremedia PLC the UK's first Learning Management System vendor to achieve this standard. AICC CMI defines the tracking data exchanged between learning management systems and interactive courseware. It also defines an interchange format for course structure so that entire courses can be exchanged between management systems made by different vendors.
Solstra 2000 is a Learning Management System (LMS) that enables organizations to deliver, track and manage multiple forms of training from one central system. Through a personalized view, individuals can access the training and knowledge resources they need for a specific role or function. Training can be planned in a variety of ways, and development plans can be created for individual users and groups of users. Solstra was co-developed by Futuremedia PLC and British Telecom, and has been successfully implemented in major e-learning initiatives at BT, Ford Motor Company and Glaxo Pharmaceuticals.
The certified Solstra 2000 as compliant with its Web Based Computer Managed Instruction Systems (CMI) Guideline (AGR 010). "We are quite pleased to add Solstra to the growing list of AICC-Certified CMI systems."
