AICC certifies THINQ

THINQ TrainingServerÒ LMS passes AICC/CMI certification

Sugar City, Idaho – - The announced today that the THINQ TrainingServer Learning Management System (LMS) version 4.0.1 has been certified as compliant with its Web Based Computer Managed Instruction Systems (CMI) Guideline. THINQ Learning Solutions, a strong advocate of open industry standards for Internet-based learning systems, has long been a supporter of the AICC.

The certification confirms that the THINQ TrainingServer LMS fulfills all of the minimum requirements set forth by the AICC. An independent lab administered the certification testing and the results were subsequently officially approved by the AICC voting membership. Being an AICC/CMI certified vendor means that the TrainingServer LMS can launch and track any AICC-compliant training course.

"Earning this AICC certification shows THINQ’s commitment to promoting the interoperability of technology solutions and content. As both a technology vendor and a source for content procurement, we feel strongly that standards such as these will benefit customers by providing seamless solutions to meet their needs," said Ray Maskell, THINQ chief operating officer. "THINQ has long supported, and will continue to support the work of the AICC in advancing global standards for learning solutions."

To earn the AICC certification, the THINQ TrainingServer LMS successfully completed testing to verify that it can seamlessly launch, communicate with, and interchange course structures for Web-based courseware in the AICC format. This certification assures buyers and creators of AICC-compliant online learning content that their courseware will work on the THINQ TrainingServer LMS.

"Testing for the THINQ TrainingServer LMS was one of the most efficient I’ve ever supervised," said William A. McDonald, chairman of the AICC Independent Test Lab Committee. "THINQ easily met AICC requirements, exhibiting a clear commitment to meeting standards for interoperability."
