Draft AICC Offline CMI Specification CMI-009 Now Available for Comment
The AICC has released Draft 2.4 of its Offline CMI Specification (CMI-009) for review and comment as per discussions in the Feb 2009 AICC Singapore meeting.
CMI-009 defines a communication mechanism that allows server-based ("Online") LMS systems to sychronize with client-based ("Offline") LMS players so that nomadic learners can view training content while disconnected from the internet and still have LMS tracking.
CMI-009 Draft 2.4 leverages the following existing (relased) AICC specifications:
- CMI-001 AICC/CMI Guidelines For Interoperability
- CMI-012 AICC Packaging Guidelines
- CMI-013 XML for CMI Communication
