AICC Certifies McGraw-Hill Lifetime Learning Courseware

Tests Affirm Interoperability of MHLL Courseware

SUGAR CITY, Idaho, september 4th, 2001 – The Aviation Industry CBT Committee (AICC) announced today that ten of McGraw-Hill Lifetime Learning’s (MHLL) courses have been certified as compliant with the AICC guidelines for Web-based computer managed instructional (CMI) systems and interoperability. Certification with AICC/CMI guidelines verifies that MHLL Web-based courseware can communicate with any AICC-compliant learning management system.

MHLL submitted ten courses for the certification process including Assertiveness, Customer Care Skills, Face to Face Communications, Financial Strategy, Instructions, Managing Finance, Managing People, Managing Resources, Operations and Strategy. All ten courses passed the comprehensive, published set of testing criteria for AICC standards-based content without errors. The independent certification test was conducted at the United States Naval Undersea Warfare Center and the results of this third party testing can be viewed by visiting the AICC Web-site. "While ten of our over 1300 courses have now been certified by the AICC, our customers can be assured that all MHLL courses, which are built to identical specifications, will comply with AICC requirements and will be compatible with other AICC certified products," said Patricia Leonard, president of MHLL. "Formal AICC certification reinforces MHLL’s commitment to the establishment of global standards for the e-learning industry."

"MHLL’s AICC certification is certainly good news for industries faced with delivering regulatory-required training online," said William A. McDonald, AICC Independent Test Lab Chair. "MHLL met AICC requirements, exhibiting a clear commitment to providing courseware interoperability for its customers."

MHLL’s rapidly growing e-learning catalog now contains more than 1,300 courses in such areas as business, executive development, IT training, industrial and safety skills, human resource and organizational essentials, adult basic education, personal effectiveness and business language training.
