AICC Certifies Plateau Enterprise

Tests Affirm Plateau’s Dedication to Open Standards and Interoperability

Sugar City, Idaho – June 4th, 2001 – announced today that Plateau Systems’ learning management system has been formally certified by the as compliant with the AICC’s Web-Based Computer Managed Instruction Systems (CMI) Guideline.

AICC compliance gives customers assurance that software such as Plateau’s Enterprise Learning Management System (ELMS) is compatible with other AICC conforming Web-based learning content and courseware, and can be used across multiple industries.

Plateau is an active AICC member that has worked with the committee to create open standards and interoperability guidelines for Internet-based learning systems. An independent lab tested Plateau’s ELMS version 3.4, and the AICC overwhelming voted last week to formally certify its compliance for CMI guidelines.

The AICC is an international association of technology-based training professionals. While its mission is to create opens standards for computer based training in the aviation industry, AICC guidelines are being used by software vendors across a variety of industries, and are paving the way for the global standardization of learning technologies.

Standards such as those set by the AICC and SCORM allow courseware and learning management systems to convey information and be integrated - and they give consumers a level of confidence that the content and the learning management system will work together to provide a complete solution.
