AICC Certifies Lectora

Trivantis’ Lectora is the first authoring system to be certified as AICC/CMI compliant

Sugar City, Idaho USA – January 29, 2001 – The Aviation Industry CBT Committee announced today that the Lectora authoring system has been certified as compliant with the AICC guidelines for Web-based computer managed instructional (CMI) systems.

Trivantis has designed Lectora to specifically meet the AICC guidelines for Authoring Systems. AICC guidelines for Authoring Systems give course or learning object authors the ability to directly control the inspection and setting of all AICC communication data in the design of Assignable Units. This is especially important in the creation of content targeted for adaptive learning.

"We are delighted that Lectora is the first Authoring System to be certified by the AICC organization," said Tim Loudermilk, CEO of Trivantis. "Lectora’s robust design offers users exceptional flexibility with regard to interoperability as evidenced by this Authoring System certification. Course or learning object authors can design content with Lectora that communicates back and forth with AICC certified CMI systems. We strongly support e-learning standards."

"Lectora has cleared a "high hurdle" by meeting the AICC guidelines for Authoring Systems," said William A. McDonald, Chairman of the AICC Independent Test Lab Committee. "Trivantis’ commitment to online learning standards sets an excellent example for the industry."
